Comic Memories

by Chris Lambert

As a kid I like this comic called Mighty Samson, put out by Gold Key Comics. But as I bought a bunch of my other favorites, like Batman, Challengers of the Unknown, Blackhawk, Daredevil and so on, I kept missing out on the newest issue of Mighty Samson.
Flash forward many years to adulthood, where I began trolling the convention bins for back issues. I managed to get a few issues I needed but were still far from completing my Mighty Samson collection.
Then came the Archive type hardbacks. Many old classics from DC, Marvel and other companies were being reprinted in chronological order and made for a uniform reprint system that made me very happy.
Now Dark Horse has put out all four volumes of Mighty Samson and (somehow I missed a volume) now I'm only one volume, the third one, away from being able to read the entire series in order. That's a good comic memory…come to fruition.

heh, the real amazing part is how many super heroes there are nowadays in comics

"KotOR - War!"

by Mike Osborn

Well, on the issue of new beginnings, I was very pleased when I recently saw that Darkhorse Comics will soon be launcing a series called Knights of the Old Republic: War. So like the Legacy series before, there will at least be a minisiries to wrap up all the stories, and it also shares the War subtitle.
I was a big fan of the first Knights of the Old Republic series, and was sad to see it come to an end after it's 50th issue. If anything I think I may have had a problem with the art in some of the issues. They switched artists a few times, made the characters look really different. The story was what really got me, it bridged the gap between comic series I really liked, and a game that I really liked. All with a good plot all it's own.
FINALLY!!!
